Why would Shreya Goshal sing “Anuraga Vilochanan”. Kelviyil Mothathil oru kallu kadi… The only reason I can find is that to bring the vintage feel of “Jaanaki and other veteran olders…!! But failed…
Paatukal Kuzhapamilla… Vishya Saagar suits your movies but this is MTV’s Film.. Johnson was a better choice.. “Pakalonu” is real good.. His Voice is suits the song.

Neelathamara really blosomed in the hearts of malayali audience.Was really a great visual treat for us and a nostalgic memoirs for the elder audience.I think the teens and the family will take up this movie to a big success.Lalji ur direction was one step up above the script of MT sir,even he always was in his best when he render the typical nadan malayli flavour.Outstanding performance by the heroine Archana(she would fetch the state award and she is real in born actress) and the hero kailash did his best(i see a future sensation in malayalam cinema).Once again Vidya ji did his magical musical and as always you gave us a visual treat.Keep going Lalji.Once again hats off to U and ur team

I SAW A GLORIOUS BLENDING OF MY FAVOURITE WRITER, DIRECTOR & MUSIC DIRECTOR IN NEELATHAMARA. DEFINITELY IT WILL BLOOM AND SPREADS IN THE HEARTS OF MALAYALEES.
Hi LalJose, Saw the movie on friday. Simple and poetic except for the ending. Very true and honestly sketched characters. Superb cinematograpgy. Lighting in the night scenes were excellent. Archana, Samvratha and Kailash were good. The ending looks straight out of a novel or as in the literary mode. Cinematic or a complete ending is not felt. Hence looks abrupt. Thanks for Neelathamara.

ജോണ്‍സന്റെ നനുത്ത സംഗീതമായിരുന്നു പടത്തിനു കുറച്ചുകൂടി യോജിക്കുക എന്നു പടം കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ പലപ്പോഴും തോന്നി.

ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യഭാഗത്ത് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിന് ഒരല്‍പ്പം വേഗത കുറവാണ്. മുത്തശ്ശി സ്ലോ ആയി സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. അതിനനുസരിച്ച് ബാക്കിയുള്ളവരും (മുത്തശ്ശിയോട് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോഴല്ല) സ്ലോ ആയി സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് ഒരല്‍പ്പം നാടകീയമായിത്തോന്നി.

I am not sure whether you would read this or not. I have been an ardent admirer of you and your movies – mainly because of your picturisation skills, movies and songs — and ofcourse because of the fact that you are a director knows craft very well.
My person opinion about this movie is as follows.
Positives

1) Very good acting by the freshers except for a few cases. Hero and heroine had done a fabulous job.
2) Great songs – especially “Anuraga Vilochananay”. Thanks to Sharat and Vidyasagar – as well as to Sreekumar, Shreya Ghosal, Karthik etc and the great picturisation.
3) Great Location and shots
4) A good movie out of an ordinary or not so strong story.

1) Sreedevi Unni – okay acting – not so great.
Negatives

1) Hopeless casting of Reema Kallingal. She never grows up to her character – mainly due to wrong casting as well as she was struggling to act.
2) Over make up of Sreedevi Unni – normal make up was enough.
My heartiest congratulations, for creating the blossom of ‘Neelathaamara’again. I am curiously waiting to watch the move and enjoy the real beauty of our village. The places you shoot is quite familiar to me and i always like to walk through those places. It should provide a refreshment to mind. I appreciate you for giving us wonderful songs and a nice cinema.
