Cinema Karyangal

It has been a long time… I know. Lot of friends who read the blog had told me to be consistent. Due to hectic travel for forthcoming projects I was unable to even let you know. Hope all of you are good and `all is well’!!

Amritha Television has started a programme – Cinema Karyangal and ‘am presenting the show. I was in Dubai with the scripting of next project `Cousins’ so could not inform you before it started. Many of you might have seen the programme. Cinema Karyangal is about personalities on the other side of camera who have no chance to be in the lime light! I believe a lot of virtue is on my way cause of this program! While re-visiting these individuals who have been working with me I realize that it is my only opportunity to get to know them personally! There are umpteen examples- I got very close to sound effects genius late Vairom who did magical feats in enriching cinema’s life through audio technology and Ramakrishnan who has been a dupe actor for the all time hero M.G.Ramachandran; Ramakrishnan later became M.G.R’s escort after he entered politics. These intimacies were showered on me without any special effort from my part and it is my deepest desire to get drenched in this pure affection unlimited!

To a great extent I am aware of my own limitations as a television performer; here I want all of you to experience and share the love that I receive from these veterans of Cinema. I want you to be part of my fortune! Please view the program and send in your invaluable comments and observations. Of course don’t refrain from the essential criticism! And do let me know wherever you feel irritated or upset due to my handling of the situation…
`Cinema karyangal’ is telecast on Sundays 10.30 am and Fridays 5 pm IST. Please do spare some time and watch the programme… May I say `Happy Viewing’!!

  3. Hello sir,

I am a regular viewer of cinema karyangal. Its a very useful program. In one of the episodes you mentioned the scope of jobs in sound effects field. That is a very useful knowledge for many people to get into those fields. So I request you to include the names of the best institutes in each fields if possible.

I have other request too.Its a really great thing that you are giving chance to new actors. If your time permits please conduct some talent hunts to find new voices for songs.Although a large number of youngsters are coming out from the reality shows, there is no history that they get an award for a song.

  4. Hi,
I happened to see one episode of “Cinema Karyangal”. The one with Shanthi (Kumar Shanthi.) It is indeed an interesting program. I think, now on I will make it a point to watch it regularly.

Best wishes for this program too.

  5. Dear Lal Jose,

Your new program “Cinema Karyangal” is extremely entertaining. I should say that you are doing a brilliant job. One thing I liked the most in you, as an anchor / presenter is your very unassuming way of presentation. As a film-maker yourself, you do not boast of your knowledge in each area of production and you are very careful in asking questions from a layman’s point of view, very simple and straight forward so that viewers like us can easily follow…….good job and keep going. All the best!

Wishing you all the very best life can offer, always,

  7. Hai,

I became happy when i see u on tv for a helpful program to the people who is curious about the film technics. I was attend a film appreciation course at Chitranjali Studio, tvm… At that time we met there… u was there for ur work of the film Arabikadha. Chintranjali Appreciation was a great experiance. we are lucky that we saw great classic films. discussions, classes of film technitians, more over we did a small film by the direction of Mr. Rajiv kumar. Only one sad thing is that the period of the class was very short.
Your program was so precious for us. I am sure u will do so many good films to malayalm industry….. Best wishes for ur future Projects…
